Everyone wants to be the best they can be! We agree, and know that out of respect for our veterinary partners and pet parents, we NEED to be the best version of ourselves!
Some of our leadership team just returned from a three-day conference with the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance, the nation’s leading pet loss association. Every speaker in attendance gave us a variety of nuggets to think about, consider, and ponder for our own growth, whether professionally or within our operation.
Joining our group from Atlanta was Bill Dickenson. He focused on how to be a leader, not only in our work with veterinary partners, but in our own lives. Then there was Bob Jenkins, Co-Founder and President of Let Your Love Grow. Bob delighted us with information on how to create additional services to serve our families, from permanent memorialization to elevated service levels. Our own Nick Padlo spoke about the financial aspect of running a pet loss center and the importance of being a viable business in order to serve families and their precious pets in the future. Then there was Linda Washe of LW Marketworks who showed us how to get our message out to families. After all, this is certainly a topic that none of us like to hear about and we don’t want our families scrambling to find us on such a horrible day. Finally, we heard a dynamic presentation from Leslie Reid on how to DECORATE our centers! She discussed the importance of colors, placement of furniture, and how both can make a significant difference to the experience our pet parents. It was fascinating!
It was an honor to be surrounded by a variety of caring professionals who strive for greatness. After all, you deserve to have The Pet Loss Center team be the best we can be!
