As pet owners ourselves, we understand the special bond that exists between pet owners and our companion animals. We know first hand how difficult it is to lose a special pet, and can truly appreciate how overwhelming it can be to make decisions during a time of loss. With that in mind, we have created this web site to help explain the services that we offer. Our commitment is to help you with the pain of loss while providing you with choices for celebrating the life of your dear pet and memorializing those special memories. Our caring and understanding family is here to help you select the best options and provide you with a very special farewell to your pet. All pets will be treated with dignity and care throughout every cremation process. For those pet owners who choose not to have their pet’s ashes returned to them, these ashes will be scattered in a beautiful scattering area.

Additional Charges

*$75 for pick up after 5 ‘clock on weekdays and Saturdays and anytime on Sunday.
$50 personal delivery of your pet’s ashes to your home
$50 certified USPS delivery of pet’s ashes to your home

Some families might want the opportunity to witness the cremation of their pet. For those that do, this process is done at the beginning of the day, with The Pet Loss Center team available to the family for support during this time. $100

Charlie - Melbourne - The Pet Loss Center

Charlie Pedrick

Before gaining his knowledge of the pet care professional industry, Charlie Pedrick was a member of the U.S Army and spent over 13 years as a SWAT team member. Charlie has been the manager of our Melbourne location for 8 months prior to becoming The Pet Loss Center and is excited to build on the knowledge he has already gained. A native of Melbourne, Florida, Charlie shares his life with his wife, two daughters, and his fur-baby, Rooney. He enjoys coaching soccer in his free time and is a huge Manchester United fan.

James - Melbourne - The Pet Loss Center

James Rodela

Meet James Rodela! James has been with The Pet Loss Center for 4 months and enjoys helping families and bringing closure in their time of loss. When James isn’t working, he enjoys watching sports, boating with friends, cookouts, and going to the beach. He shares his life with his father, mother, brother, sister, and dog, Daisy. An interesting little tid-bit about James is that he was born in Augsburg, Germany, and raised in Melbourne, Florida. Prior to working for The Pet Loss Center, James was a truck driver and was fortunate enough to see most of the US while on the road.

Drake Scott

Our newest addition to the team, Drake, was originally born and raised in New York but has lived in Florida for the last 5 years. He attended Eastern Florida State College to pursue a Criminal Justice degree. He has been employee of the month on six occasions and has over a year experience in advanced behavioral health, working with adolescent youth. In Drake’s free time he enjoys bowling, working out at the gym, playing basketball, and cooking. He has three sisters, two nieces, and a nephew that currently reside in New York. He is an exceptionally bright, well-mannered, and hardworking young man, and we are honored to have him on our team!

Derik Turner

Meet one of our newest employees, Derik Turner Jr. He is originally from Ft. Hood, Texas and has been residing in Florida since 2014. He shares his life with his wife Angela, and his two sons. Derik is a former member of the U.S. Army and a former veterinarian technician. His hobbies include bowling, fishing, cooking, traveling, and sightseeing. He prides himself on being funny and carefree and has an upbeat attitude that motivates and entertains his peers.

Derik enjoys the friendly and helpful atmosphere at The Pet Loss Center. He enjoys helping others who are going through the grieving process by helping them Honor the Journey.
