Tampa business helps owners cope with loss of a pet
Anyone who has lost a pet knows what a difficult time it can be. Now, there is a new facility that helps pet owners with every aspect of losing a pet.
The Pet Loss Center is a 6,000-square-foot location in the Town ’N Country area that offers true private cremation of pets, extensive pet loss support programs and one-on-one pet loss support.
There is a place for families to have sensitive and meaningful final moments with their pets, cremation viewing opportunities and memorial creation such as urns, caskets, jewelry and artwork.
The location opened this week.
“All pets deserve dignity and respect in life and in death,” said Coleen Ellis, pet loss pioneer of the Pet Loss Center.
The Pet Loss Center was founded in 2009, and has locations in Texas and Florida. The center also offers approved continuing education classes for veterinary professionals.
They have an open-door policy, and encourage any veterinary professional, pet parent or animal lover to visit any time during office hours.
The Pet Loss Center is at 6091 Johns Road, Suites 5 and 6. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
